I met Konrad in México some time algo and one morning when he came in to get his order of my wife's home made yoghurt, we had a chance to chat. The result was that the following week, we exchanged signed copies of our books. I promised to read his straight away and he promised to put mine in storage till next winter.There is something fulfilling about reading the life story of someone you barely know and about whom have formed some sort of uninformed opinion. As I read through the chapters, I could see bits of my customer peeping out of the pages. There are some eerie similarities in some of his stories to events in my own life. That made this book an almost personal read for me. I actually laughed out loud at one part and had to fight back a tear more than once.
I like the way this book is written. There is no pretence to flowery language. It is almost as though Konrad were sitting in a chair on the opposite side of the fireplace talking to you. I read it in two sittings.
If you are up for a light yarn or series of yarns that span several continents and decades, this won't disappoint. I look forward to meeting Konrad again next winter and chatting about his life.

Konrad has mastered the craft of writing in a truly entertaining way. delivering many of his life adventures with sensitivity and humor.
