I was amazed to see that Alfred Noyes wrote so many wonderful poems. I have always loved "The Highwayman", as, I guess, many people do. But now I know he wrote other story poems that are so lovely and so moving. His "Tales of the Mermaid Tavern" and "The Forest of Wild Thyme" are sheer delights.For anyone who enjoys poetry, these books are a gold mine.

Page numbers off. Otherwise it is a nice collection. Handy size to flip through and make notes. Horribly hard to find specific poems based on the table of contents. Nothing was where it was listed. Very weird.
I had no idea Noyes was so prolific. On to VOL II! His work is worth exploring if you love discovering "new" literature and poetry.
Always insightful, intelligent, thought provoking, and always a great read. If you have never read his works, find one and read it now. He is VERY good.
The Highway Man is one of my all time favorite poems of his. I have been really enjoying his other work as well. I plan on reading a few to my grandchildren the next time one comes to spend the night. I think they will really enjoy him as well.
